Great bar with a fun atmosphere and music. The bartenders were actively trying to make eye contact with us to make sure we could order drinks, even though it was extremely crowded. Impeccable service. The drinks themselves were outstanding. I can see why it’s a popular place for sure!
This was one of many stops this past Friday night. Food: N/A Drinks: I had a Sidecar that was so GOOD! My friend had a Pimm’s Cup and liked that. I had another Sidecar that was just ok. My friend got a Dark and Stormy that was ok. Service: The Bartender who was in the rear/back bar this past Friday made great drinks!! Once we moved up front, the drinks didn’t taste as good. Atmosphere: Chill, music, drinks flowing….it gets loud as time goes by-typical lounge energy. Final Thoughts: Moneygun is always a good time!
I don’t understand how this place isn’t absolutely packed every weekend. Came here based on a recommendation from a friend and it’s just about the moodiest cocktail bar I’ve been to in the city. The drink list is extremely lengthy and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. The waffle fries aren’t to be slept on either. One fair warning, it’s extremely dark in some parts of the bar so just be ready for that.
Had an amazing time at Sunnygun — the vibe was just right for a laid-back afternoon or early evening hang. It’s the perfect outdoor extension of Moneygun, with the same cool energy but in a more relaxed, open-air setting. Great music, solid drink menu, and just a fun spot to kick back. The staff was friendly and quick, and everything felt super easy and welcoming. If you’re looking for a chill patio bar in the West Loop with great cocktails and a good atmosphere, Sunnygun is it. Definitely coming back
This is a party bar rather than a cocktail bar. Definitely good vibes for a night out with friends. Don’t expect any intimacy or cocktail experience. People are here to drink, dance and have fun. Overall cool atmosphere though!
